unfold fold
To start the process, please contact me so that I can better understand your situation and offer you FREE advice. We may be able to resolve your situation with a simple phone call or through email. If you decide that bankruptcy is right for you, we will need to schedule an appointment which typically lasts no more than an hour. I will ask you several questions for preparing documents. I will prepare the documents at which time we will need to schedule a second appointment for executing and filing the documents. About five weeks after your case is filed, a hearing will be scheduled in which you and I will need to attend.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always enjoyed helping individuals get out of stressful situations. Being overwhelmed with debt, being constantly contacted by creditors, and attending legal proceedings involving creditors can be one of the most stressful situations. I have observed the stress level alleviated after individuals meet me after their first appointment.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have represented individuals, families, ministers, accountants, doctors, attorneys, and businesses. I have represented individuals young and old, and of a "walks" of life.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently, I had an elderly lady feeling quite stressed over the large amount of debt she owed primarily to medical providers. Daily, she received either phone calls or letters from creditors. Some of the phone calls were threatening. She did not know what to do and was considering bankruptcy. Her sole source of income consisted of a meager monthly social security payment. I advised her that the creditors cannot take her social security income and that bankruptcy was unnecessary because creditors would be unable to collect from her. Without charging a fee, I sent letters to creditors advising them of her situation. The creditors went away. She was relieved that there are attorneys willing to help her without charge and a desire to serve their own needs by charging fees to file an unnecessary bankruptcy case..

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Should you be having financial difficulties, I encourage you to first consult with an attorney for advice. The appointment should take no more than an hour of your time. An attorney can give you the advantages and disadvantages of debt consolidation, using bankruptcy petition preparers, filing for bankruptcy, or simply doing nothing regarding your creditors. You are more likely to make the wiser choice on how to deal with your creditors by first consulting with an attorney. Should you hire any attorney, be sure you have a complete understanding of the fees and services to be provided. This information should be in writing.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It would be helpful that you have all your documents in order and are familiar with your financial situation. Typical documents I would like to review include most recent creditor statements, the past two months of pay stubs, last two years of income tax returns, and any other documents you believe are relevant.
