I've worked as a commercial portrait photographer for the last eight years, shooting for nonprofits and individual clients, with a focus on kids & families. I love capturing real people in their lived environment, and I love the collaborative process of photography. I shoot both digital and film, using natural light and flash depending on location and the needs of the client. Each session is an opportunity to meaningfully capture a moment in time, while creating images you will cherish forever.

Communication is always the key to making something beautiful. I strive to understand what the client is seeking even when they may not be sure themselves, and then work to align every step of the way with that vision. I bring a strong work ethic born of my upbringing in rural Iowa, matched to an urban sensibility earned since my transplanting to Los Angeles some thirty years ago. Top quality workmanship and "no surprises" when it comes to the finished product is always my goal.
