Introduction

Hi there. I've been into photography for over 30 years and just love it. Specializing in portraits, family photos, boudoir, maternity, senior pics, graduation photos, model shoots, corporate and personal headshots, fitness, vehicles, and whatever else you want to be photographed. My rates are often lower than others because I do this on the side and don't depend on the income for my livelihood. I try to use a very individual style of posing and such to get the "authentic" you in my photos. I don't have you pose in the same standard poses that everyone does. That's too generic in my opinion. I want to find out who YOU are and make sure we capture that personality in your images. Also, I've been told I have a faster turnaround time and return more photos to my clients than most photographers, which my clients appreciate. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I can typically offer shoots for less since I don't depend on this income for my livelihood. I schedule shoots around my full-time job and that works great for both of us. I don't really do "discounts" but I can often do local jobs for less or if the job is quick or small.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Let's contact each other here and then discuss the details of what you want when we're done and how we'll get there. We'll discuss locations, timing, your vision for your photographs and make sure we completely understand each other. I hate surprises and I'm sure you do also.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Nothing formal but years of experience and a strong portfolio to show that I can get you what you want. If you don't see photos in my listing here that are what you're looking for, just ask me. I may have some that are more what you want and we can go from there.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Have just always loved beautiful images and decided to help people get the photos they're envisioning. Have been very successful because of excellent communication and LISTENING. That's key.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Not sure what this means. All kinds I guess. From models to families to expecting women to new parents to pet owners to homeowners to brokers. Anyone who wanted quality photographs and were looking for someone to help create them.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Traveled to shoot a great model in Moline, IL and shot her in an old warehouse for 4 hours. Got about 1500 shots and took about 2 weeks to edit and got about 500 amazing shots.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always ask to see their work. My portfolio shows you what I've done for others and what I'll do for you. Ask lots of questions since not all photographers operate in the same way. Ask how many images you'll get and when. Don't allow for any surprises or disappointments.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Just know what you want. Or at least how to explain it. Don't go to a photographer you don't know and say "I just want some casual shots". That means many things to many people. Go online or ask friends for ideas for shots you want to have. We need to make sure we're on the same page so you get exactly the shots you wanted.
