We are completely new to Thumbtack but have been in NYC’s vibrant hospitality industry for over a decade. We have worked in every area of customer service from bartending to serving and managing. We are licensed and fully insured mobile bar ( general and liquor liability), traveling from NYC, to Nassau and Suffolk County, and to Bergen County,NJ. We will roll into your event fully equipped with all the necessary in order to provide the service hired for. We do not provide alcohol as per State Laws. However, we will provide you with a comprehensive shopping list, or work with one of our preferred vendors in order to deliver the liquor to your doorstep. I created this restaurant to satisfy the Desi hankering for Indian soul food. Though my father warned my husband-to-be that i couldn’t cook, I soon taught myself to make not only my mother’s recipes but also my husband’s family favorites. After a lot of trail and error my husband Vishal was impressed and pushed me to open a restaurant. Desi Galli has been open since May 2012. A recent milestone is the opening of our second location in the east village and a new signature dish Desipoutine. We have catered hundreds of events and weddings including Priyanka Chopra's Diwali parties, Madonna's concerts and are a regular for Madison Square Garden's private boxes. Our corporate clients include J.P. Morgan, Citibank, Credit Suisse and Barclays to name a few. The smile I see on customers face when they love my food. I really enjoy feeding people and want my clientele to be reminded of their parents’ cooking and home.
