Hi, I'm Karl Moore, an Atlanta based photographer specializing in Sports, People, Commercial, and Corporate Events. MOORESHOTS started because of my dad. Growing up, I watched him taking pictures of trains, depots, and railroad related items. In his retirement, my dad started his own business selling his images all over the world, and saw his pictures grace the covers and pages of railroad magazines and books. Years later as my own kids started to play sports, I wanted to capture those moments in pictures to document their lives. Picking up a camera allowed me to do this, as well as spend a little more time with my dad. Today, I am pursuing my dream as a professional photographer and visual storyteller traveling all over the country and beyond. Working as a photojournalist for over a decade has taught me how to tell a story through images and how to capture the details. It's fun being able to take the ideas of my clients and exceed their expectations through my artistic vision. I'm very blessed to work with a great group of clients that include some of the top pro sports teams, universities, law firms, tech companies, ad agencies, and magazines in the Atlanta area. I love using photography as my medium, to translate the visions I see of the world around me into images of all kinds. The Slatons is Andrew Slaton and wife, Ellen, a traveling destination-style and adventurous wedding photography duo. The Slatons love capturing the story of your love! Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin and has been a professional photographer for over two decades. In that time, he has traveled the world for a variety of clients, capturing the essence of glacial peaks, grizzly bears and the significant first look between husband and wife. His wide range of expertise and experience is the foundation of The Slatons that turns a fleeting moment into a treasured, lifelong work of art. In the last 6-7 years, he has also been producing video content for a variety of clients. He is an FAA commercially licensed drone pilot as well. Andrew is fun and easy to work with, as well as punctual and professional. He delivers quality, quickly. On your day, think of Ellen as your behind the scenes, go-to-girl. As the organizer of the Slaton team, Ellen keeps track of the Bride’s (and Mother’s, Aunt’s and bestie’s…) “must have shots” and helps ensure the day runs smoothly without stress. With an Art History degree from the University of Texas in Dallas, her passion for finding transcendent moments in the everyday keeps her committed to your unique story and searching for ways to express your memorable day by guiding with poses, capturing behind the scenes candids, & original camera angles. ***WHERE ARE WE LOCATED, you might ask? Funny story... 7 years ago we were traveling so much for shoots that we decided to sell our home and most of our stuff and buy a truck and travel trailer and hit the road! We follow the work and base ourselves in Jackson Hole, WY, Chattanooga, TN, and then Naples, FL. So we live where you live! Sorta :) So if you see our location changing, don’t worry, that’s just Andrew planning work along our route.
