Mr. Technology makes house calls and will be happy to take as much time as needed to explain repairs, upgrades and other options. Our rates are extremely competitive and our turn-around time is generally fast. Mr. Technology not only offers computer repair but will be happy to provide some basic lessons for using software and hardware. We also provide phone and email support to our clients. For Mr. Technology the most enjoyable and rewarding part of the job is helping the novice user overcome their fear of computers and peripherals. We often tell people, "You really can't hurt it unless you take a hammer to it." This rather humorous saying alleviates peoples' fears by injecting some levity into the repair situation. Since many of our clients are quite mature and were not raised in a technological age it is very important to put them at ease when they call for help and support.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once a new customer has contacted Mr. Technology one of our representatives will get the appropriate contact information and a description of the service required. Then the customer will be given an estimate and options for pick up or drop off of equipment to be serviced.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 4 Associate of Applied Science degrees in various Information Technology disciplines including Security, Networking and PC Maintenance and repair.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Initially I worked on my own computers. Eventually I decided it was something I enjoy doing so I enrolled in college level classes with the goal of starting my own computer repair business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Mr. Technology provides service to individuals, small businesses, school and churches. Virus removal has become increasingly important because there seem to be more frequent attacks rendering some clients' computers virtually useless. Maintaining the integrity of any stored data is critical in this process. Mr. Technology is experienced in this type of data recovery and has been quite successful in recovering and restoring critical data. With the economy still recovering I see more and more people putting off the purchase of a new computer in favor of a less expensive upgrade to their current system. me. Technology has been quite successful in performing these upgrades to prolong the life of many of out clients' systems. Attacks on personal computers are getting more and more sophisticated and Mr. Technology is able to use the latest tools and technologies to clean the infections from customers' systems.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Mr. Technology recently upgraded the wireless capability at Huntington Catholic School by installing new Access Points at strategic locations throughout the two buildings. This required running cables, punching down to the patch panels and configuring the static IP addresses. Because much of this was done while school was in session it took the better part of 2 months to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check the provider's reviews. The cheapest is not always the best though we pride ourselves in keeping our prices within reach of all potential customers.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are you credentials? Can I get an estimate before you begin the work? Do you use only new parts? Is there a minimum charge? Do you charge extra for in-home/business service? Do you guarantee your work? Can my files be recovered? How long with the repair take?
