My motto is: protecting your tomorrow today! See how I can assist you get the value you need and the representation you deserve. Go to my website aftinbrownlaw.com to schedule a FREE phone consult. I believe in communicating more, not less and keeping responsiveness as a goal. I take the time to understand the big picture on what you may be struggling with internally, such as emotional stress, mental illness, financial problems etc. My top priority is to provide individualized legal strategies and a relationship grounded in trust. Most importantly, I believe in you and will advocate and fight for your best interests. It is a very satisfying feeling to meet an individual and help them through legal issues. Often times, I meet clients in a low time in their lives. I enjoy working with them and getting a resolution. It's amazing to see my clients move past their legal troubles onto more positive things! I enjoy being a part of that journey.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My hourly rate is $200. Most cases involve a minimum of 5 hours for representation.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Set up a free phone consultation. It's the fastest way to get to the root of the problem and discuss how I can help. Phone consultations are only a few minutes but it is also a good way to see if we will work well together. The attorney-client relationship is just that; a relationship. We must trust each other or it just won't work. After that, I schedule an initial consultation at my office and we hit the ground running. The initial consult involves a few housekeeping things such as payment and signing agreements and information gathering. I like to get started as soon as possible because a delay of a day or two can cause serious consequences in a court room.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Education R. Nelson Snider High School ('03) DePauw University -- B.A. in Spanish and English Literature ('07) Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law-- JD ('10) BAR ADMISSIONS Indiana Supreme Court Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals United States District Court – Southern District of Indiana

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was the little kid that always questioned authority and fought for the underdog. I can remember negotiating with my parents about everything: bedtimes, curfews, punishments, etc; never taking no for an answer! I've always been a lawyer, I just didn't know it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with all types of clients from all different backgrounds. However, the majority of my clients are just normal, hardworking people that need help during a stressful time. Needing help from a lawyer can happen to anyone, I work hard to make sure that I'm able to adapt to this.
