Hi, I am Melissa the sole groomer/ pet care provider/ owner of Woof Woof Meow LLC. I am licensed, insured, and bonded. I have over 15 years experience as a dog and cat groomer and have experience as a dog and cat care giver and trainer as well as educating on proper grooming and care.
Woof Woof Meow started in 2010 and I have previously operated my business inside a shop, and mobile van. I have started doing house-calls by offering an in-home grooming experience where I groom your pet inside the comfort of your home. This allows for fully accountability and transparency as well as allowing you, the owner, to be apart of the experience. I set up in either your backyard, patio, secluded empty room, or garage and bathe in sink, tub, or backyard. I make sure to provide a thorough clean-up after grooming as well.
I groom with the animals behavior, energy, and well-being in mind. I believe in a holistic approach to grooming and proper animal education. We are all vibrational beings and through human domestic- the dog was born. So in a way- our dogs embody the human spirit as they as sponges to our energy.
Our companion animals have the ability to not only remember but to anticipate a bad memory. Often itās the sensitivity to anticipation that leads to anxiety that causes the grooming experience to be bad. Offering in-home grooming we eliminate the stress and anxiety factor and focus on the well-being and positive experience of the dog. Grooming should be a bonding experience we have with our animals and not a rushed in-and-out service similar to an assembly line. This is where I come in, I am an experienced groomer who understands these emotional behaviors and can understand them through positive and patient communication.
We groomers are the only ones who are able to train our pets how to be groomed and we are also the only ones that can cause life-long grooming phobias if your animal is not handled correctly which is why I specialize in puppies, kittens, seniors, animals with behavior issues (non aggressive) or any dog or cat out there.
I am constantly working on certifications and earning continued education credits to expand my knowledge in the pet industry.
