Introduction

My customers tell me leaving their fur babies is very traumatic. They say my experience, care and compassion is top-notch, and they never worry when taking care of their pets. I have one client that travels frequently. Before my service, she had to board their dog. Her husband really missed Sophie when he would get home from work. Seeing happy pets and owners is what I enjoy the most.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Prices vary depending on the service (pet sitting or dog walking), number of pets, time, etc. A standard visit starts at $20. Dog walking rates start at $23. My website will provide more details.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Brief phone call after receiving request. A meet and greet is set up at customers home for interaction with pet and customer. A contract is initiated between customer and my service. Prior to scheduled service another meet and greet can be requested for visiting with pet and owner to finalize visit. This is optional.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

CPR/First Aide Certified. Bonded & insured Volunteer with local shelter/animal rescue Member of Pet Sitters International and Pet Sitters Association

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our pets have always had caring compassionate people to take care of them. I wanted to provide this service to others. Meows an Growls started as a personal vision and has provided me with the opportunity to fulfill my passion of working with animals.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My customers have been vacationers, business professionals, breeders who show their dogs/cats.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A provider should be a professional and their business is their career. We who are professional are not the person next door, or the college student home for the summer looking to make extra money. Look at their training, are they bonded/insured, are they involved in animal organizations.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are their needs for pet care while they are gone? What are the needs of the pet? How much am I willing to pay for the services? What are the qualities I am looking for in a pet sitter/dog walker?
