Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
All animal problems are different and require different steps for resolving them. Inspection fees may apply but are rolled into treatment cost if you decide we are the best option. We offer senior and military discounts of 10%.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When you come to us with your wildlife problem we spend time on the phone or in text form to get all the information we can to make an educated guess about what needs done. Next, we visit the home and take measurements, photos, and notes as to what the necessary steps would be. After discussing and explaining the findings with you we can typically begin work the next day.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are permitted by the state department DNR to operate under the "Nuisance Wild Animal Control Permit". Our staff are mentally and physically ready for animal encounters and resolution per their training and long hours of hands on experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We started out of chance, and also from an appreciation for wildlife! A neighbor's chickens were being eaten by raccoons and we helped her resolve the issue. We understand the stress and health effects animals can have on you and that's why we are good at what we do. Everybody needs a good night's sleep and that's hard to get when you are hearing scratching in your walls. We try to resolve animal issues without causing harm to the problematic animal itself whenever possible.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have served every kind of customer, from one story homes to the 100+ year old Diamond Chain Company in downtown Indianapolis.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
An instance in which raccoon babies and the mother was involved. In spring all animals are rearing their young. This raccoon mother decided to choose to raise her kits (baby raccoons) in the floor of a home. I had to enter into the crawlspace where the mother was as she guarded her five kits. I noticed a bulge in the fabric overhead. It was the mother and kits in a pile. I then pushed up on it until the mother felt threatened enough to come down and look at me. After what felt like 5 minutes of staring at each other. She slowly began to walk out of the crawlspace and into the adjacent woods. I then gently made a cut in the fabric and pulled the babies out one by one. Once all the babies were put into what we call a "baby box" I sealed up the crawlspace hatch to prevent future break ins. Then the kits were left to be picked up that night by the mother raccoon. She then could take them to one of her other den sites.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
We recommend looking at the reviews firstly. Then see how the business is setup structurally for example employees or contractors and decide which you prefer. Being insured and licensed is also important. Last but not least make sure they have experience with the task your specific job requires.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
-Should I be concerned for health/safety reasons? -Have you dealt with this before? -Is there anything I could do to avoid this in the future?
