Introduction

I provide individual counseling for children, teens, and adults in my Brookline and Belmont offices. I also run several co-ed groups for 1) Grief work 2) Improving Relationships, and 3) Substance Abuse. Call me for more details. I created "Therapy in Motion": I combine talk therapy with a client's favorite activity. The feedback I have received about this new approach has been extremely positive! I have been in private practice for over 30 years and I have extensive training in many areas. I can offer all new clients a free phone consultation to discuss your particular issue.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fee is $150/hour for individual sessions. If finances are an issue, I sometimes work according to a sliding scale in order to make counseling accessible to more clients. Packages can be arranged as well as group sessions which reduce the hourly rate. I am available for in-person and/or remote therapy or life coaching sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Arrange an initial consultation and then proceed from there. Determine if it is a good match or if a referral to a colleague is appropriate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 1994.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I majored in Psychology in college, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Clark University. I went on to graduate with a Master's in Social Work from Simmons College.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Children and adults of all ages. Some areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, Couples, ADHD, group work, Grief Counseling, Life Coaching, career counseling, Activity Therapy, and many others.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I've worked with clients who have dealt with significant depression or anxiety and who go on, within a year's time, to lead happy and healthy lives.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Trust your instincts about the provider. They are usually right.

Do I feel comfortable with this Therapist? Do they have enough experience in the field? What do I want to accomplish in Therapy?
