I am a veteran of the military, spending six years in the Coast Guard and also a 12 year veteran of the Boston Fire department. Although I loved my job as a firefighter, I found my true passion was working outdoors, getting my hands dirty in the garden. I also have a bachelors degree in environmental science with a focus on resource conservation. Eco Roots Gardening uses a sustainable approach combining organic gardening practices and resource conservation. Our primary goal is to help homeowners and businesses transition away from traditional grass landscapes to native drought-resistant plants, trees, and shrubs. Additionally we work with homeowners to correct and maintain sustainable drain systems that help prevent flooding, erosion, while supporting biodiversity.
