What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

At times, circumstances and situations warrant a discussion of variations on standard pricing, and we’re happy to discuss all options. Important for you to know is that we don't charge anything extra per-image or for editing work. Our pricing is all-inclusive of our session, including professional image enhancement and delivery of the digital images directly to you. No hidden or extra costs, whatsoever!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Informal, relaxed, casual and no time constraints. We always put ourselves in the client's place, and strive to make sure everyone is enjoying our time together (in addition to capturing beautiful photographs)!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Jeff has a Photojournalism degree from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), and has been joyfully photographing weddings, portraits, engagements, professional headshots, commercial work, senior pictures, family reunions, sporting events and studio work for decades.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Jeff picked up a camera when he was five years old and took a blurry, poorly-framed, tilted photograph of his backyard shed and was immediately hooked!! (We still have that original photo, too!)

What types of customers have you worked with?

From 250-guests weddings to elopements (and every number in between!), from professional headshots to engagements. From family portraits to corporate outings. From sports events to pets. From commercial to senior pictures. And from landscape photography to wildlife photography. We collaborate with a wide variety of clients (and different sized sessions) and deliver results that have allowed us to make photography our (awesome!) career.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We shot a senior picture session recently that lasted 2 1/2 hours. I'm always 100% happy to encourage outfit and location changes to ensure clients receive exactly what they hoped for in their investment. We’ve also shot a LinkedIn headshot last week that was only 15 minutes total. A session's timing is entirely based on what that specific and unique situation requires. We’ll neither rush you nor take longer than you've allowed in your schedule for the shoot.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure your personalities mesh. When the client and photographer get along well the results are absolutely magical. Tell the photographer exactly what you want, and feel welcome to share images you've seen online or elsewhere. We tell our clients that the relationship is similar to the relationship you want with your hairdresser or therapist.... Tell us exactly what you want (even if you have to whisper it!) and we’ll work with you to get you there!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Ask about added costs, in addition to the actual session fee. We have no hidden costs or add-on fees, whatsoever. We don't restrict the number of images you'll receive, either (you'll get the whole session!). We believe in offering a fair, affordable price, and then delivering beautiful, meaningful images that you'll be proud to share with family and friends.
