FAQ’S Q: If you own a business, can you hire anyone with a drone for aerial photography/video? A: No. The drone pilot must hold an FAA Part 107 certification, be insured and properly trained. Q: Can realtors use a personal drone for real estate listings? A: Only if they are FAA certified. If not, you are considered a drone hobbyist, thus, you cannot “hobby” for business or another person whether money is exchanged or not.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Know your budget and project details before you ask for a bid. My prices are within the national average price and based on the size, complexity, and depth of expertise needed to accomplish the work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When a customer requests a bid, further job details will be requested so a fair quote can be given. A phone call is preferred prior to the shoot to confirm a date/time and property details. Turn around times vary but start at 24 for small jobs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began photography in college while earning a business/marketing degree. I have been published and won several art competitions. This led to a professional photography career with a focus on the business community and commercial real estate photography.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Shooting for the Coca-Cola Corporation was not only artistically satisfying but challenging. The feedback received from that shoot was, "Your work is amazing"!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

An experienced photographer will ask the necessary questions to get the job done right. It is the photographer's job to understand you, your needs and how to execute the shoot. Be clear about your expectations.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

A photographer's work should speak for itself. Is the photographer experienced in the type of photography you’re requesting? Look at their portfolio. For drone, are they FAA licensed? Ask. Are they insured? How effectively do they communicate? What is the turn around time? What is included for the quoted price?
