Introduction

I am a Portland-area commercial and portrait photographer who creates images that intentionally connect and communicate. With a background as the owner of a PR & Marketing firm, I bring not only stellar photography but also communications and branding expertise to the table. I’m happy to shoot on location in Oregon or nationally, or at my Oregon City studio. I love the fact that my job allows me to work with such a vast range of people and businesses. And because I sat on the other side of the desk for so many years, hiring photographers to provide what I now offer, I am committed to making sure your project is completed on time. On budget. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My standard business portraits start at $199 and include two (2) high-resolution, retouched digital images, which you will select from a gallery featuring at least 25 of the top images from your 30 minute session. Additional packages and group sessions also are available, with exponential discounts based on time and images needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once we set an appointment, I'll send you a Q&A which will allow me to learn what style of photo you want and how it will be used. We'll discuss wardrobe, and will discuss professional hair and makeup, should you be interested in working with one of my talented stylists. At your session, it's my job to make sure you (or your team) are as comfortable and, dare I say, have as much fun as we can manage! I know most people hate the idea of having their headshots taken, so I'm going to do my best to ensure you have the best experience, as well as the best photos, that we can create.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Prior to becoming a photographer, I spent 17 years as the owner of a PR & Marketing firm catering to Inc. 500 businesses. Your headshots, therefore, will be created with brand consistency and marketing application in mind. That means we'll talk about colors, mood, negative space (for typography) and other details that will ensure you can make the most use of your photos once they are in your hands.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been a hobbyist photographer for most of my life, and offered photo services as a side to my work in PR & Marketing. About six years ago, I realized that photography was my calling, and I turned it into a full-time business. I've been recognized with a number of awards for both photography style and business operations, and now offer on-location photography nationally, as well as locally.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with professional and commercial businesses of all types including companies in the medical, dental, financial, real estate, and personal and professional coaching fields, among others. I also work with local talent and modeling agencies, and love shooting headshots for actors, dancers and singers alike.
