Laura Margo Murals & Custom Art is a mural and custom art business that will lead you on a creative journey to develop custom, one-of-a-kind works of art. PRICING & PROCESS Many factors inform the price of custom art. I usually charge $250-$500 design fee for an original design. For murals, this goes toward the cost of your project, and then the price of the final mural depends on size and complexity. For illustrations, pricing depends on the scope and style of your designed project. I will request a 50% deposit to schedule your project and the final 50% when the project is completed. Special notes on mural pricing: Please reach out to me for a rough estimate, knowing the exact price of your artwork will vary depending on the following factors: -Size of overall work -The highest point and location (Will I need to rent a lift or scaffolding to reach your project? Special scaffolding for a 100ft stairwell? ) -Level of detail (More detailed work generally takes more time.) -Painting style (Certain styles require different techniques, time, and materials) -Materials (For example: authentic golf leaf is more expensive than gold acrylic paint!) -Travel or shipping costs (Am I driving to your location or shipping you a canvas roll?) -Prep work or repairs (Is the wall damaged and in need of repair?) -Protective coating (Outdoor murals might require a graffiti coating or high humidity indoor murals may require a clear coat.) ***Please note that painted signage, faux finishes, wallpapers, backdrops, and other painting services may be priced differently than murals. For starting prices: - Indoor murals $15-25/square foot -Outdoor murals $25-50/ square foot Find your bottom price for your mural by getting the square footage of the wall space. Multiply that by the starting cost. a Mn tax is added to the total. Murals can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks depending on the wall condition, design process, and 50% downpayment security. We will do 3 initial designs. A design fee is required after that and is non refundable but will be deducted from the grand total of the mural.
