Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I price by the job not the hour. I am licensed with the CCB and insured. Clients trust me to be in their homes with their cherished belongings, and to provide quality work in a professional and efficient manner.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to save time by providing a quote based on the information provided. Pictures are helpful. For small projects it isn’t feasible to do an on site assessment. If I’m coming to your house, let’s get to work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As a homeowner I’ve been doing handyman type work most of my life without realizing it. Recently I decided to do this full time and start helping other people with their home maintenance and repair projects.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with property managers, homeowners of 3 bed/2 bath and larger homes, retirement facilities, and a few small commercial businesses.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I enjoy the small things. I don’t do many multi-day projects. I want to get in, solve the problem, and get out, so the customer can have their house back.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone that is licensed with the CCB and insured. It can cost more, but peace of mind is worth it. You want to work with a business owner not just someone trying to make $20.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Try to have a good idea of what the end result is you are looking for and clearly communicate that to the contractor. If you don’t know what solution you are looking for then clearly describe the problem.
