Portuguese-American artist with a European education and a bold, minimalist style perfectly suited for the American entrepreneur. :) I started as a web and graphic designer to fulfill my desire to have a career that is artistic, technical, and visual. As a web designer, I bought a camera and began taking photos in order to add image content for my clients’ websites. As a fan of music, I also began experimenting with photography at small local concerts. After receiving complimentary feedback about these website and live music photos, I decided to pursue photography professionally. I strengthened and developed my skills by attending workshops, enrolling in professional online courses, and test shooting in the studio with musicians, friends, and my crazy family. I am available to travel anywhere in Virginia and DC and can shoot both digital and film. I want to take the time to get to know you. It's totally fine to tell me you don't know how to pose. While exploring other countries and cultures, I was using my phone to document the people that I met and the places that I have been. This led me to buy my first professional-level camera; it has been with me ever since. Immersing myself in the world of photography has allowed me to capture the raw, intimate, and joyful moments that make each wedding unique.
