Over the years, I have learned to take a laid back approach with my sessions allowing clients to have a care free experience in some of Michigan’s beautiful parks. My work uses natural light and a mix of a candid / formal approach to capture your images through lite prompts instead of stiff poses to capture your natural connections and aura. My style incorporates mostly open spaced locations with earthy tones, warm golden horizons and beaming sun flares, inspired from my summers growing up. Currently I am specializing in outdoor Senior Portraits.

At Jack Scicluna Photography, I customize each session to fit your needs, and welcome any ideas that you may have. I consider my style of photography to be photojournalistic, meaning I believe photographs should evoke emotion in the viewer. Because I started practicing photography when film was the choice medium, I believe in the purity of the art form. If a photograph cannot be created using the techniques from a darkroom, then I will not perform it digitally (unless specially requested by the client).
