Mara Zalite is a Brooklyn-based creator whose Latvian roots run through most of what she creates: event photography, headshots, street photography, stamp carving, printmaking, card making, digital designs, graphic design, embroidery, beadwork, and so on, and on, and on. No knitting, though. Really not into knitting. For photography, Mara believes in taking the time to get the right shots and will have edited photos back to you within 72 hours (and sometimes quicker if you need!). She does not set time limits or image count limits on any of her projects. When not creating things, Mara leads the New York Latvian folk dancing group, “Jumalīte” after founding it with her cousin in 2021. Mara ran an art studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn for 4 years and is great with toddlers, kids, teens, and adults - a people person!
