Hey there! My name is Catalina. I’m a photographer from the east side of Michigan, now residing in Kalamazoo, MI. Here is a bit about me. From as far back as I can remember I have loved photography. I was so obsessive as a pre-teen I’d have my camera every where with me, just in case there was a moment I wanted to capture. Growing in the last 10 years from a published commercial photographer to a portrait photographer has been such a beautiful journey. Marrying my love of the perfection of the shot and the documentary style of my traveling photography; I have found my personal style of shooting. I have 16 years of experience as a professional portrait photographer including ten years in Los Angeles where I specialized in actor headshots and business portraits. Now that I'm located in Haslett near East Lansing, I take all sorts of portraits including senior and graduation photos. Over the years, I have learned to take a laid back approach with my sessions allowing clients to have a care free experience in some of Michigan’s beautiful parks. My work uses natural light and a mix of a candid / formal approach to capture your images through lite prompts instead of stiff poses to capture your natural connections and aura. My style incorporates mostly open spaced locations with earthy tones, warm golden horizons and beaming sun flares, inspired from my summers growing up. Currently I am specializing in outdoor Senior Portraits.
