My lessons are very personalized, according to the needs of each student, regardless of age or level of experience. I am known for applying all reading and theory skills directly to music or songs that the student wants to play. For beginners, I cover all the basics for a strong foundation. I love teaching piano. My methods have grown and become polished so that the student is rewarded with fast results, which in turn is rewarding to me. For adults, regardless of experience, new worlds open up to you in areas such as classical, jazz, blues, pop, broadway, and the important theory to go with them. Children get the basics in a pleasant, "child-friendly" atmosphere.

Hi, my name is Diana Yusupov and I am a professional cellist located in Tempe, AZ. I have been playing the cello and piano since I was 8 years old, and it has taken me all over the world. I’ve performed in concert halls all over the US, Canada, Australia, China and Russia. I earned my doctoral degree in cello performance at the UofA and have been teaching the cello both privately and in ensemble setting for 14 years . Teaching has always been my passion. I love seeing my students succeed. I dedicate much of my lessons to teaching the students not only how to play the cello, but more importantly how to practice correctly for best results. In lessons we lay a solid technical foundation through a combination of scales, exercises, and etudes. We build musicianship skills and healthy practice habits through studying great pieces, from Suzuki books and popular songs to the famous violin concerti. I believe excellence empowers. Through violin lessons with me, I invite students to pursue excellence in violin-playing and see how it transforms their lives. My journey in music started during my middle school years when I joined the band, and it continued throughout high school and college, and into my professional career. Along the way, I've had the privilege of learning from exceptional teachers, including some of the most accomplished musicians in Los Angeles. These experienced mentors exposed me to a diverse range of percussion instruments and styles, providing me with a well-rounded musical education. Their instruction and guidance expanded my horizons and deepened my understanding of different musical genres. Drawing from my professional experiences and the extensive training received from these esteemed instructors, I have become a reliable reference for various aspects of music. Whether it's exploring different percussion instruments, delving into specific musical styles, or seeking guidance on musical theory and technique, I can offer valuable insights and expertise. I consider myself fortunate to have had such enriching musical opportunities, and I am excited to share my knowledge and passion for music with my students.
