I teach (in person or online) out of my studio in beautiful Sebastian , Florida. I have been teaching music since 1989 and have played in orchestras since 4th grade and currently play the cello in church...my whole family is musical! My parents are both professional musicians, so I grew up around music! My goal is to share my love of music with students of all ages by making lessons fun!! I teach using traditional methods, tailored to the student's specific interests. I am a former preschool teacher and minored in music. I am very patient and enjoy the challenge each new student brings and love teaching children and adults alike. Hi! I’m Ryan, and I am a Berklee alum. I am definitely a music specialist, but I also regularly offer math tutoring and chess lessons. I am based in Maryland, but I give online lessons to my remote students. Even before my time at Berklee, I spent years striving to put myself into every musical situation possible. This gave me a multi-perspective understanding that allows me to comfortably advise students of all ages and backgrounds regarding several different instruments, styles, and theoretical concepts. My favorite part about teaching, regardless of discipline, is the fact that it allows me to keep growing and learning while sharing my experiences to help others do the same. My studio is located in Richfield, MN. I offer in-studio and online lessons. I teach contemporary (jazz, blues, folk, pop, country, etc) and classical music. My specialties are jazz and improvisation. My students are performing musicians, casual musicians, beginners, composers & songwriters. They sing, play piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar and banjo. Each of my students has a personal page on my website providing them with easy access to their lesson materials. I have a unique, fun and effective way of teaching music.
