I am a multi-instrumentalist, which gives me a different perspective with regards to how each instrument functions in the context of a song or a band. I also customize every lesson to fit the needs of each student. I feel that this creates a learning environment that inspires a disciplined practice routine. In addition to my love for music, I enjoy the opportunity to share ideas and concepts that pertain to music, but can be applied to every facet of life.

Hi there! I'm Lissette, the owner of Studio 4 Strings. I help beginner and intermediate violinists and violists establish a smooth tone, build confident technique, and have fun expressing themselves through music! My mission is to inspire a lifelong love of music by providing personalized violin or viola instruction in a supportive and creative environment. At Studio 4 Strings, we are dedicated to fostering confidence, self-expression, and technical excellence in every student, whether they are just beginning their musical journey or advancing their skills to the next level.

Hi! I’m Wes Nelson, and I am a professional bass and guitar teacher. I can teach whatever style of music you're interested in (indie, rock, pop, funk, jazz, etc.) as well as songwriting, sightreading, production, and music theory. All skill levels are welcome, and no experience is required. My teaching combines hands-on playing with theory so that you not only learn your favorite music, but how it works. My purpose as your teacher is to help you realize and achieve your goals as an aspiring musician. I have 18 years of music experience as both a bass player and guitarist and have an MFA in music from CalArts. I have extensive international touring, studio, and performance experience and have played alongside artists such as Mike Stern, zzzahara, Ny Oh, LP Giobbi, DJ Tennis, Bonzie, Shearling, and Randy Brecker and have recorded at studios such as East West, Sunset Sound, and Capitol Records. I have 10+ years of experience teaching privately and in public high schools. All of this has given me a deep perspective on what it means to be a musician. Music has deeply enriched my life and my job is to help it enrich yours regardless of your skill level or goals. Lessons are available both in-person and online.

I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and have years of experience as a professional singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Whether you are a beginner, or more advanced, I would love to work with you to help you accomplish your musical goals.
