However, if you have gotten used to rolling out of bed and turning zoom on for lessons, we still offer this as well! My love for music started from a very young age. Starting to play piano at the age of 6 was what got me hooked. I have been playing, writing and singing ever since, even taking my music passion to Florida Atlantic University where I received my Bachelors of Music. My passion has continued on into forms of songwriting and teaching. Having over 20 years experience in piano and over 10 years of vocal and guitar performance experience. This includes having a teaching studio for over 2 years.

Ahoy! I'm a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a Masters in Composition, and I've been teaching piano and composition for the better part of 10 years in the Bay Area, residing in the Sunset District of San Francisco. I teach all ages and levels, utilizing various proven techniques along with incorporating fun games and activities to make lessons interactive and memorable. I also host "Studio Class" once a month for all my students where we perform our piano pieces for each other in a low-pressure environment, allowing frequent performance opportunities to develop confidence on stage. It's a fun event held at my place where we serve food and drink and play fun musical games after performances. The kiddos love it! For piano students, I use Faber Piano Adventures, as I find the material enjoyable and well-paced. For beginning/early intermediate music theory, I use "Practical Theory" by Sandy Feldstein. Hi, my name is Ann Souren. I specialize in contemporary singing styles. I address the individual needs of students and tailor my lessons to meet their needs. The lessons are dynamic, fun, and extremely time-efficient. I aim for results, and I guarantee results. Most of my students feel the difference even after the first session. It usually takes me just 2-3 months to turn a complete beginner into a singer. I strongly believe that with the right teacher anyone who can speak and has an ear for music can become a singer. I have 20 years of experience as a vocal coach and more than 35 years experience as a professional singer/recording artist, singing on stages of different caliber, as well as in the studio. I know what it takes to become an outstanding performer. I have performed with various live bands, orchestras, big bands and shared the stage with Grammy award winners Yolanda Adams, Diane Schuur, Patti Austin, Richard Marx, Leo Sayer and many more. I'm passionate about sharing all of my knowledge and experience with students who are ready to take their first steps into the music industry, or hobbyists, who simply love music and singing. I helped thousands of people around the world learn how to sing or improve their existing singing technique. It makes me so happy to see how my students grow with every lesson. Hi, I'm Melinda, and I offer in-person lessons in San Francisco and online lessons to singers around the world of all levels. I have over 15 years of experience as a professional singer and voice teacher. I'm classically trained, and I can sing everything from opera, to R&B, to musical theater and pop! I have my Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I specialize in a time-tested technique that I pass on to my students to ensure healthy singing for everyone. I speak Spanish and French, and sing in over 10 languages. With my encouraging and student-centered approach, I teach all styles. I can personalize our lesson time together by adding other components, such as audition preparation, sight-singing, music history, and performance readiness. My students have been admitted to prestigious college vocal programs and have also been cast in leading roles on stages across the nation.
