Music is my life! I love all styles of music and firmly believe EVERYONE CAN SING! I will do all I can to encourage and support aspiring singers and assist those who just need some polishing, as well. I am patient, and I believe in you. I also work with speakers, teachers, actors and voice actors! I am located in southern California and I’m happy to offer in person and online sessions.

Experience: After starting piano at age 4, I had begun figuring out how to play songs by ear, by age 12. I went on to play both upright and electric bass in the jazz band, wind ensemble and orchestra at Agoura high school while studying privately with David Young (Los Angeles Philharmonic). Thereafter, I went on to study music at Eastman School of Music in New York, Cal State Northridge and University of Northern Colorado where I received my bachelor's degree in music. As early as my late teens, I turned professional through teaching as well as performing with various bands and artists including Willie Waldman (Sublime, Snoop Dogg) and opening for bands such as Hoobastank and Phunk Junkeez. I have performed at venues such as Civic Arts Plaza, Canyon Club, Whiskey a Go-Go, The Mint, The Roxy, Sherwood Country Club, Reseda Country Club, Bovard Auditorium (USC), Key Club, Dakota Lounge, Cobalt Cafe, Beverly Hills Hilton and Disneyland. It is no surprise that there is a direct correlation between taking music lessons and having academic success. I love playing a role in establishing that focus and determination in people and knowing they will carry that with them the rest of their lives.

I teach fun, personalized guitar lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, and I've been at it since 2011. Choosing the right teacher for yourself or your child can potentially make the difference between a weekly obligation and a meaningful learning experience that can enrich your life! I graduated the Berklee College of Music in 2011 with a degree in Guitar Performance and have been teaching music lessons and classes ever since. My expertise include guitar and bass instruction in music theory, songwriting, improvisation (soloing) and ear training. I also have a strong knowledge of music genres, mostly specializing in rock and metal, but also including pop, fusion and funk. My career working in bands and as a touring artist also allows me to offer insight into the music industry for those looking to pursue music professionally! I always meet my students where they're at and endeavor to teach them the specific skills they wish to improve upon. For some, that means being able to strum through their favorite songs around a campfire. For others it means building a firm understanding of fretboard mechanics and using music theory to compose songs and solos to record with their band. I am a seasoned performer with a Bachelor & Masters in Voice Performance. I am new to the area & starting a voice studio in my home, and will travel to clients. I will work with students at all levels. Whether you want to sing or speak at a church, school, or for a personal event, I will help you improve your vocal quality, consistency, support and phrasing. I am also a guitarist & will work with students that sing & play the guitar. Each of us are unique. First time and seasoned students are welcome to try my flexible approach. I enjoy working with and evaluating each student, providing a flexible lesson plan and allowing students to develop into the best they can be. I also enjoy working with seasoned students as a vocal coach, as needed.
