I teach (in person or online) out of my studio in beautiful Sebastian , Florida. I have been teaching music since 1989 and have played in orchestras since 4th grade and currently play the cello in church...my whole family is musical! My parents are both professional musicians, so I grew up around music! My goal is to share my love of music with students of all ages by making lessons fun!! I teach using traditional methods, tailored to the student's specific interests. I am a former preschool teacher and minored in music. I am very patient and enjoy the challenge each new student brings and love teaching children and adults alike. SUZANNE GALER is a DYNAMIC PERFORMER, SINGING , AND PIANO TEACHER . Suzanne believes in joyful 😇 , healthy singing of all kinds . She has a passion for CLASSICAL, 🎭 Broadway , JAZZ AND GOSPEL . She teaches both in person , on Zoom 🏎️ , on Face-time , and any hybrid combination that works for you . She is on the Vocal Faculty at Palm Beach State. Her DOCTORATE 🧑‍🎓 in music is from The State University of New York. She loves teaching ALL AGES including High School , College Prep, Middle School, Elementary, College , Adult Hobbyists, 🐦 Snowbirds , and Professionals. Suzanne Galer also holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Teaching from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Suzanne's students WIN at life. They attend the finest prep schools and colleges in Florida and the nation. They attend Bak, Dreyfoos, New World School of the Arts, Saint Ann’s and Oxbridge. Her students attend University of Miami , Florida State, University of Central Florida, Florida Gold Coast, Florida International, The New School of New York City, Indiana University, and Boston University. Suzanne also teaches PIANO and singers learn SIGHT READING , PITCH MATCHING , and MUSIC THEORY. This makes them competitive for Bak, Dreyfoos, College and professional auditions. I work and strive to make others have fun. Music is something special. It is a universal language and there are so many forms of expression. My students need to have fun with what they are learning and I develop curriculum around them. That light bulb a student has over their head when they get something. I also create a curriculum based on my students wants and needs. I have been instructed by many seasonal performers throughout my years, and I have learned how to adjust myself to communicate with other musicians. I strive for my students to be well-versed and not only reading music, but also being able to pick up playing by ear , so whatever goals that you are having whether it’s to succeed in an audition, be fearless and karaoke, or audition for college or even a Broadway show or reality TV, I have the tools to guide you toward your goals.
