Kyle Pearl is a professional cellist and composer who has actively taught cello lessons for the past eight years professionally, and studied cello performance and music theory and the Frost School of Music. He greatly enjoys teaching, and generally work best with late middle and high school students. He is extremely experienced in audition, competition, and performance preparation. In the past, he has had students get into highly acclaimed youth orchestras (including Midwest Young Artists Conservatory), compete in chamber music competitions (including Rembrandt Chamber Musicians Annual High School Chamber Music Competition), and win concerto competitions (including the Racine Symphony Young Artists' Competition. Recently, he has been reviewed by the South Florida Classical Review for his performance with Ensemble Ibis, the review stating, "Pearl’s performance was expert—he didn’t just manage the technique but played the music through one long line of gripping and beautiful expression."

Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am looking forward to teaching you everything I know about music! I've been singing at Walt Disney World for over 22 years with the Voices of Liberty, the Dapper Dans of Main Street, and Four For A Dollar. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University. Even more than singing, playing the guitar, arranging for a cappella, and playing piano, I love to teach! Ever since I was a sophomore in high school, I've wanted to be a teacher of music in various capacities. My favorite aspect of teaching several private students each week is that every individual student has a different story. What is it that you want to accomplish? Would you like to sing, play piano or play guitar? Would you like training in music theory? Do you want to eventually have a career in music? Will this be a hobby for you? I am a music teacher graduated from National School of the Arts (ENA) in Havana, Cuba. I started teaching at the age of 18 in Cuba and I have been teaching piano in Miami for more than 30 years. I am a member of the American College of Musicians so my students have the opportunity to get a test with the Guild every summer. Also we have recitals twice a year (Christmas and summer). I love teaching and seeing my students progressing. I also play the piano for ballet classes. I have worked with several ballet schools in Miami for many years, such as Ballet Concerto, New World School of the Arts, FIU Dance Program, Boca Ballet, etc. Actually I work for Miami City Ballet since 1999. Teaching is my passion so I really enjoy the process of my students not knowing anything about piano and later being able to play the instrument. I feel so good when I see them playing in recitals and doing a really good job in their tests. It’s amazing!
