We come to you for private music lessons in your home! Our teachers are highly qualified. They all have music degrees or equivalent work experience, and they are positive and professional with their students. And best yet, they come to you! Our teachers have passed a background check, and they have made it through an audition screen. We don't hire just anyone - we make sure they understand music theory, and they are top notch players. Both male and female teachers may be available depending on location and the teacher's availability. Specific Gender Requests are not guaranteed.

Hello, and welcome to my vocal instruction page! If you are here, chances are that you've been looking for ways to build your vocal skills, bolster your confidence and find your voice. Wonderful! I am a Berklee College of Music alumnus, and I have worked for 15 years with hundreds of vocalists to discover and strengthen their unique voice and talents, and achieve their vocal goals. From getting cast in musicals, films and jingles to recording original CDs and fronting bands, even to getting over stage fright to sing karaoke--my students have achieved tremendous success. I have performed and toured all over the world, recorded multiple albums and commercial jingles/ad spots, and I've worked with everyone from absolute beginner to professional performers--so you are in good hands! I love working with such a huge variety of singers. I have students from age 9-90, and they all bring unique talents to the table. In one day, I may work on jazz, country, blues, musical theatre and Motown songs--I love it all! If you are hoping to find a classically-trained vocal coach that focuses on contemporary styles and what YOU want to learn (rather than the Bel Canto Classical repertoire), then we will be a great fit for one another! My lessons all focus on technique, style, breath support and control, and most importantly finding your own, unique voice. Each lesson is different and tailored to the student. ATTENTION: - I'M OFFERING A SPECIAL: IN PERSON OR ONLINE, 4 1/2 HOUR LESSONS FOR 1/2 PRICE $20 EACH. WHAT WOULD NORMALLY BE $180 IS NOW $80. In person lessons must be fully vaccinated. My regular rate is $45 1/2-hour, $80 hour. There's never a contract. People want to study singing for so many reasons. You've sung all your life and want to sing better. You'd like to be able to audition for a better chorus or a part. You were told you were tone-deaf when you were 5, and haven't dared make a sound since, or if you have, people have laughed at you. Those are all good reasons. My job is to take you wherever you are, whatever you hope to achieve, and help you sing better whatever that is. The lessons themselves can be done online, or in person within New Jersey only. New Yorkers usually don't want to come to NJ, but you could take lessons online. If you're apprehensive doing lessons online, please read my reviews. Quite a few of them are from online students. There's never a contract. You can try one lesson and see what you think. Your health is the most important thing to address in lessons. People come to me with chronic sore throats from strain, limited ranges, breaks. We fix these things, and you sound great and have fun. I don't let 12-year-olds sound like they're 30. I care, and I'm good. The human voice is the most wonderful toy I can imagine. As a teacher, I get to play in everyone's toy box. It's all fun. I love helping someone who thinks they can't sing on pitch sing on pitch. I love working with people who've sung all their lives and just hope people won't laugh at them. I show members of the chorus that they're soloists, and no one's laughing. I love working with beautiful, strong, healthy voices that just need a little help to fly. I love it all.

I get excited to pick out specific repertoire perfect for individual students and to work with them in depth in order to beautifully sing that piece of music. Passionate about expression, diction, and technique I aim to inspire others to reach their highest potential and musical goals. Getting to watch my students progress over time and seeing all of their wonderful accomplishments is the best part about being a teacher for me!
