ATTENTION: - I'M OFFERING A SPECIAL: IN PERSON OR ONLINE, 4 1/2 HOUR LESSONS FOR 1/2 PRICE $20 EACH. WHAT WOULD NORMALLY BE $180 IS NOW $80. In person lessons must be fully vaccinated. My regular rate is $45 1/2-hour, $80 hour. There's never a contract. People want to study singing for so many reasons. You've sung all your life and want to sing better. You'd like to be able to audition for a better chorus or a part. You were told you were tone-deaf when you were 5, and haven't dared make a sound since, or if you have, people have laughed at you. Those are all good reasons. My job is to take you wherever you are, whatever you hope to achieve, and help you sing better whatever that is. The lessons themselves can be done online, or in person within New Jersey only. New Yorkers usually don't want to come to NJ, but you could take lessons online. If you're apprehensive doing lessons online, please read my reviews. Quite a few of them are from online students. There's never a contract. You can try one lesson and see what you think. Your health is the most important thing to address in lessons. People come to me with chronic sore throats from strain, limited ranges, breaks. We fix these things, and you sound great and have fun. I don't let 12-year-olds sound like they're 30. I care, and I'm good. The human voice is the most wonderful toy I can imagine. As a teacher, I get to play in everyone's toy box. It's all fun. I love helping someone who thinks they can't sing on pitch sing on pitch. I love working with people who've sung all their lives and just hope people won't laugh at them. I show members of the chorus that they're soloists, and no one's laughing. I love working with beautiful, strong, healthy voices that just need a little help to fly. I love it all.

In terms of my background in music, I studied classical guitar and audio engineering at William Paterson University and have taught both privately and in music shops around northern New Jersey since 2003. I am an active musician, songwriter, guitarist and music producer. I have experience touring and have traveled throughout the US and Canada gigging. I understand the music business as well especially in today's climate. In terms of teaching guitar it's important for the student to have a custom tailored plan for meeting their individual needs and goals. I pride myself on being well rounded and adjusting to how each student learns best. I can teach a wide variety of styles from rock, blues, folk, classical and more. I am fluent in all aspects of music & guitar playing and teaching from music theory, learning songs by ear, left & right hand techniques, scales, chords, improvising, writing music notation and tablature, songwriting and more. I provide supplementary materials for my students for the lessons and practice with videos, music tracks to play along to, sheet music and much more.

I have a passion for singing and performing, and I absolutely love sharing that enthusiasm with people of all ages! I get excited to pick out specific repertoire perfect for individual students and to work with them in depth in order to beautifully sing that piece of music. Passionate about expression, diction, and technique I aim to inspire others to reach their highest potential and musical goals. Getting to watch my students progress over time and seeing all of their wonderful accomplishments is the best part about being a teacher for me!

I hold a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from Towson University and have many years of experience teaching students of all ages. While at Towson, I also taught at the university’s prep school, helping young musicians develop strong piano skills and a love for music. I have taught dozens of students over the years, and I regularly organize recitals so my students can share their progress confidently. In addition to piano, I have extensive experience teaching music theory and church music, and I also perform at weddings, parties, and other special events.
