My name is Ona, and I’m a musical theater performer and voice teacher. I’d love to help you get started on your singing and/or acting career! I'm multilingual so we can do classes in English, Spanish, or Catalan! I usually teach in a studio in Midtown Manhattan but due to COVID-19 I’m offering online lessons only.

Sing with more freedom and joy! I am a Juilliard-trained singer with 22 years' teaching experience. I've had an international stage career, including the Metropolitan Opera. I offer technical, foundational, and rehabilitational singing instruction, plus career, dramatic, and language coaching. I work both live and virtually. My primary focus is creating a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere for ANYONE to increase their joy and health through singing! NATS, AGMA member.

She has three different chronic illnesses that have affected her singing her entire life. She’s had to study harder than most singers in order to maneuver through abnormal technical issues caused by her diseases. Even if you are able-bodied and have had little to no success with teachers understanding proper vocal technique, Jenni’s background will launch you to the incredible vocal breakthroughs you’ve been searching for! All lessons are focused on whatever the student wants to learn, from contemporary to opera, from songwriting to basic theory, the student runs the lessons and Jenni provides the knowledge and tools for you to succeed in any musical goals you have. Don’t be afraid to ask for help on your most intense musical desires and dreams. Jenni will accept any idea and will see you through to the end! She has dedicated her entire life to honing her craft, went to Oklahoma City University, one of the best music colleges in the country, to receive a degree in vocal performance, and has built a career sharing her expertise with students of all ages. Having also had an interest in psychological counseling and DBT training, Jenni brings a mindful and compassionate demeanor to her lessons that teach not just the instrument, but the whole person: mind, body, heart, and soul. Not only will Jenni transform your singing, but she will help break through walls to transform your musical life for the better. Whether you are serious about singing as a career, or just want to unlock the music within you for fun, Jenni will give you the tailored, one-on-one, in-person experience you need to achieve your goals.

Teaching guitar is my passion. I believe that everyone has a musical potential and I love helping people develop their musicality and I firmly believe that the saying "if you give a person a fish, you feed them for a day. But if you teach someone to fish, you feed them for a lifetime." I put every part of me into finding the best way for my students to learn. I have over eight years experience teaching guitar in a variety of styles including rock, blues, finger-style, and classical guitar.
