Located in South Austin, Nine Muses directs students on a path to becoming better musicians. My instruction includes vocal techniques, breath support, musicality, music theory, vocal pedagogy, sight reading, and performance techniques. Recitals throughout the year offer a chance for each student to practice performing for an audience, and also provide an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate their progress. Confidence in singing comes from learning the intricacies of your own voice: How it works, how to use it, how to control it, and knowing how to fix things that may go wrong. Once technique is learned, a singer begins to truly understand their voice and what they're capable of. Once they have control, they have confidence. Once they have confidence, they're ready for that solo, ready for that audition, and ready for that big performance in front of hundreds of people.
