Most projects, even those that primarily involve one construction trade still involve other trades or effect other components in the house, so a generalist always operates as estimator, project manager and QC to make sure our customers understand the other components and issues that will come into play. It's different every day, it's challenging, there's always more to learn, working with a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds, working in and out of the office at different times, and most of all, knowing that we helped someone solve their problem(s) and they are happier than when I first arrived.
