Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices are market value, and based on the complexity of the job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I first introduce myself, and listen to the client's needs to understand their expectations. Then I will inform the customer how I would complete the job and provide them with a quote. If the job requires parts, I would then schedule the job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a licensed Florida Electrical Contractor with more than 15 years in the electrical field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started out working for Direct TV, then moved to Comcast/Xfinity, then joined a small business all while earning my low voltage and then high voltage electrical licenses.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types ~ Home owners, condo building managers/supervisors, small and medium sized business owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
There are too many to choose from so I'll say that a recent one was when I added recessed lighting and a recessed ceiling speakers. This job took 3 hours and the customer loves being able to play music from his app in the house while cooking or in the garage while he's working on his car.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure they are a licensed and insured electrical contractor. And that the provider clearly explains the scope of the job.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What are their expectations for the full scope of the job they want/need done. 2. Be open and flexible to possible alternative solutions. 3. If there are additional electrical jobs they need, be prepared to tell the electrician so they can come fully prepared with parts, time, and costs.
