Introduction

I am FULLY VACCINATED as of May 2021. However, all bookings must follow appropriate mandates and CDC guidelines in California. I will not play for your event if my performance area is not socially distant from everyone else. This is to ensure not only my health and safety but the safety of others. - Michael I am a singer/songwriter who's been singing since the age of 5. I perform music every day and I truly love what I do. I offer only the highest quality of live music entertainment services for your party or special event. I believe that music is a shared and unique experience every time and I intend to make your event memorable in the best way possible. If you're looking to add some soulful soothing tones to your next event, I'm what you need. Connecting with new audiences and creating unique experiences through music is what makes my job worthwhile.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Before we finalize the booking, I do require a 50% security deposit electronically. The remainder of the quote can be paid on the day of the event.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to get an insight into the party or event. If it's a wedding, did you want music for a cocktail hour or dinner music? If it's a birthday party, did you want to choose a specific song for the birthday celebrant? Being informed as much as possible helps not only ensure that I can deliver properly, but that you get the experience you paid for. My job is to make your event memorable in the best way possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been singing since the age of 4. My mom studied voice and piano when she was growing up, so I got the music genes from her (thanks mom). I am professionally trained vocally for over 10 years and have been playing guitar for over 5 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Singing and performing is something I've always wanted to do from a very young age, so it's definitely part of my DNA. I recently quit my office job of 4 years to do music fulltime. So, playing these gigs are what helps me to make a living as a musician and allows me to live comfortably.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've played everything from weddings and corporate events to proposals and intimate dinner parties. If there's an opportunity for live music, chances are I've played it once before.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently, I had the opportunity to perform for a small intimate wedding in the Malibu Canyon area. Being a part of a special day such as weddings can be super fun. I advise clients that if they choose to have their event outdoors, to be aware of having access to power on-site. Generally, with my full setup, I will need access to power on-site at the venue in order to perform my services.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I'd advise them to really know what they want before seeking a musician. Know your budget and what kind of atmosphere you want to create music-wise. Approaching a prospective musician for your event with more details really helps the process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
These are questions I ask my clients: - What is the reason for wanting to have live music at your event? Is it to create an ambiance (ex. dinner music) or is the actual event music-focused? - If it's a wedding, please know what special songs you'd like to add to the setlist before inquiring. (Ex. First Dance, or song for Bride to walk down to) The more I can learn about what a client needs, the better I am able to serve you.
