What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible and tailored to fit different event needs and budgets. I offer customizable packages and competitive rates, with no hidden fees. Discounts may be available for repeat clients, multiple bookings, and off-peak dates. Travel or accommodation fees may apply for events outside a certain radius, but all costs will be discussed upfront. A deposit is required to secure your date, with the final payment due before the event. I’m happy to work with a variety of budgets, so feel free to reach out for a personalized quote!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new customer is designed to be smooth, collaborative, and stress-free:
1. Initial Consultation – We start with a conversation to discuss your event details, music preferences, and any special requests.
2. Custom Quote & Agreement – Based on your needs, I provide a personalized quote and go over the terms, including pricing, deposit, and payment schedule.
3. Event Planning & Music Selection – I work with you to curate the perfect playlist, accommodate special requests, and ensure the vibe matches your vision.
4. Event Coordination – I communicate with the venue and other vendors (if needed) to ensure seamless setup and execution.
5. Performance & Execution – On the day of the event, I arrive early for setup, perform as planned, and keep the energy going.
6. Post-Event Follow-Up – After the event, I check in to ensure your satisfaction and welcome any feedback for future improvements.
My goal is to make the process easy and enjoyable so you can focus on having an amazing event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been DJing since 2013 as a freshman in high school and have done hundreds of private, corporate, and club events over the years. I went to Drexel University and graduated with a B.S. in Music Industry and a minor in Business Administration. I have also worked in the music industry business, including at Wasserman Music in NYC and Insomniac Events in LA doing various administrative and marketing roles.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first introduction to DJing was in 2012 when I first saw a YouTube video of Skrillex performing live and I was fascinated by his performance. From then I started to research other DJs like Calvin Harris, Avicii, Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Carl Cox, deadmau5, and Armin van Buuren to learn from them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with clients of all ages including brides and grooms, wedding planners, event planners, promoters, company executives and associates, teachers, students, families of all sizes, restaurants, concert venues, bars, lounges, and nightclubs.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My most recent project I am fond of is being a Resident DJ for Kpop Club Night across the United States! I've been performing my shows since September 2024 and it's been a blast being able to do what I love and travel for it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a DJ, consider the following to ensure you get the best experience for your event:
1. Experience & Versatility – Look for a DJ who can read the crowd, mix different genres seamlessly, and adapt to various event types.
2. Reviews & Reputation – Check testimonials, ratings, and past client experiences to gauge reliability and quality.
3. Music Style & Customization – Make sure the DJ can cater to your specific music preferences and take song requests if needed.
4. Equipment & Setup – Ask about sound and lighting equipment to ensure it meets the needs of your venue and guest count.
5. Communication & Professionalism – A great DJ should be responsive, organized, and easy to work with from start to finish.
6. Pricing & Transparency – Avoid hidden fees by discussing all costs upfront, including deposits, travel fees, and overtime charges.
7. Event Coordination – A professional DJ will work well with other vendors and ensure smooth transitions throughout your event.
Take the time to discuss your vision and expectations with potential DJs to find the best fit for your event!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to a DJ, consider the following questions to ensure a smooth planning process and the best possible experience:
1. Event Details – What is the date, time, and location of your event? How long will you need the DJ to perform?
2. Music Preferences – What genres, artists, or specific songs do you want to be played (or avoided)? Do you need a custom playlist or are you open to the DJ’s style?
3. Event Atmosphere – What kind of vibe are you going for? High-energy party, elegant and classy, laid-back and casual?
4. Audience & Guest Demographics – What’s the age range and musical taste of your guests? Do you need a mix of different styles?
5. Special Requests – Do you need announcements, a specific song for a special moment (e.g., first dance, entrance song), or interactive elements like games?
6. Equipment & Setup – Does your venue provide sound and lighting, or will the DJ need to bring everything? Are there any space or noise restrictions?
7. Budget – What is your budget range for DJ services? Are you open to package deals or add-ons?
8. Backup Plans – In case of unexpected issues (weather, technical difficulties, etc.), what contingency plans does the DJ have in place?
Thinking through these details beforehand will help you communicate your vision clearly and find the best DJ for your event!
