Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have a $150 minimum for an event, from there it really depends on what sort of musical preparation is involved, travel time/travel expenses, duration, and other factors. Please contact directly for pricing information.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I hold myself to a high standard of professionalism; understanding a clients vision, clear communication leading up to and throughout the event, punctuality, appropriate attire, and an accommodating and engaged presence. I strive to provide both beautiful memorable music and a positive overall experience from the initial booking/inquiry to the successful completion of your event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have studied privately with: William A. Mathieu – author of 'The Harmonic Experience', Inner Traditions and 'Bridge of Waves', Shambhala Press. Dušan Bogdanovic – taught Classical guitar at USC, SF Conservatory and currently teaches at the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland. Kevin R. Gallagher – studied with Sharon Isbin at Julliard, won the Francisco Tárrega Guitar Competition (1997).

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started performing professionally around the time I was in high school (b.1979 SF, CA). Early exposure to jazz through educational programs allowed me to participate in the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the Grammy in the Schools programs as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival. Soon after I began performing regularly in the region both as a side person and as a band leader.
