Introduction

PLEASE READ 😎 Hey! I’m John Thomas, a pop/rnb singer and musician. I’ve been singing my entire life and playing guitar for some years! I’ve performed on THE TODAY SHOW been in a NATIONAL COMMERCIAL and have had a major recording contract with SONY/EPIC RECORDS. “Drenched in funk and dripping with Justin Timberlake-esque falsetto” - Ones To Watch/Live Nation I’ve played hundreds of gigs from Weddings to private party’s and clubs/restaurants. I pride myself on playing modern hits such as (Bieber, Harry styles, Ed Sheeran) as well as classics (Beatles, stones, bill withers, Stevie Wonder) I can get you dancing or keep the vibe chill and romantic. Being an artist first, I always have a fresh take on songs you love (while still staying true to the melodies so you can sing along) I primarily play as a solo act (vocals and guitar) but can absolutely bring in additional band members such as bass, drums, keys or additional guitarist if the event calls for it! I have a minimum of $400 (after that pricing depends on duration/location/number of band members and setlist) A deposit will be required to save a date! Feel free to check out the few videos below or head over to ********** and/or ********* to see what I sound like and can do!

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, I want to know what sort of experience they’re looking for. What genre they want? How many band members? And I make sure it’s a good fit for both of us! Once I know it is, I love to hop on a call and answer any and all questions they may have as well as allowing them to get a feel for me and hopefully they gain a ton of confidence in the decision by the end of the conversation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Lots of experience 😅 I’ve played hundreds of gigs. I usually have 2-3 residency gigs at a time aside from private events, so I’m always keeping my chops up. check out some videos of mine or head over to my website and/or Instagram to see what I can do!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started performing as an artist when I was just 17! Eventually landed a record deal with a duo I was in called Lipstick Gypsy. We achieved a lot of great things but eventually hit a ceiling and disbanded. I decided to start doing some cover song gigs and really loved it. Word spread, my phone started ringing and here I am! 😊

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve played weddings, beach clubs, yacht clubs, restaurants, music venues, private house parties and dinners, birthdays, Bar mitzvahs etc

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
If you have very specific expectations (aside from no negotiable things like punctuality/professionalism) be clear with the person you’re looking to hire. I think there is a sweet spot though, where you give an idea of what you’re looking for and you let the artist/band take it from there and deliver. If they’ve been doing this for a while they should be able to read the room and make your event special!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. Duration of setlist 2. 5-10 songs or artists they love and want in the set 3. Communicate expectations! So important
