What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I’m in the Orlando area so if travel is involved, there’s a 3 hour minimum.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Get to know the theme of the event as soon as possible so that proper preparation is put forth.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

- Bachelor's in Art; Major: Computer Animation - 10 years in Teaching and Tutoring Fields with Children - 5 years working with Disney World

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Grew up in Orlando, FL where presentation and entertainment reign supreme! Entertaining people since I'm 14 (over 20 years).

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I painted an engagement portrait of a couple whose proposal took place at the Disney Boardwalk. It happened a couple of feet away from my caricature stand, just a bit after I did their caricature. I worked with them both to paint a 36x24 inch portrait of them in traditional Disney Princess fashions. It is shown in my gallery on this platform. It took a month of open communication with the bride and the groom. Their expectations exceeded, in their words!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at their work, get that chord struck, and be very clear on what you’re looking for!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Will shoulder up drawings be ok for my guests? When booking an artist to draw for a party, the standard is to do shoulder up to keep time down. Make sure your guest know this before hand. Will my guests be asking for more than one drawing of them selves? Guests at a caricature event tend to want more than one of themselves or two of the same drawing if their a couple of friends. Let guests know it’s one per customer or be prepared to extend the time of event.
