What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My minimum fee for a live performance is $500, with custom pricing after that depending on the details of your event.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once you reach out to me for a quote, we'll jump on a quick phone call to chat about the details so I can understand how to best serve you. We would then confirm the date with a basic contract to make sure you are satisfied with all of the details. Once we are both happy with the contract, I would reserve the date with a 50% deposit. After that, sit back and enjoy the music on the day of your event!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been performing professionally for over a decade, and I play hundreds of shows every year.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I played in different bands throughout my teenage years, touring the East Coast and honing my craft. I eventually decided to go the solo artist route, and now I make a living as a solo singing guitarist specializing in weddings and private events.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have performed in many different settings, including but not limited to: weddings, bars and restaurants, clubs, sold-out venues, house shows, theaters, corporate events, fundraisers, birthday parties, engagement proposals, and more.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Weddings are my favorite type of performance because it's such an important moment in the client's life. I am always truly honored to create a magical atmosphere for their special day. I spend a lot of time preparing custom song requests, and the day of the wedding I arrive around 2 hours before the performance, set up all of my equipment, and then focus on creating a unique soundscape based on the client's desires.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Understand that you get what you pay for. I love performing at bars and restaurants, but when it comes to weddings and private events, an elevated level of professionalism and experience is required. You may find someone to perform at your event for a low rate, but the truly experienced musicians who can provide the highest quality of service will charge accordingly.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If you have an idea of what type of music you'd like, that is always helpful. I'm willing to accommodate specific song requests within reason, but having a general idea of what type of music you like will help me craft the perfect customized setlist for your event.
