Introduction

I have been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. I have played keyboard for senior living facilities (including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing), concerts, restaurants, private parties, and corporate events. I specialize in music that appeals to the 55+ age group. The genres I play include Big Band, Standards, 20’s - 80's, Broadway, Easy Listening, Country and Gospel. I can also play special requested music. I use a Roland keyboard that is easily transportable, doesn’t require much space and has excellent sound quality. The setup/breakdown is very quick and easy. All I need is an outlet! The keyboard features many different instruments that sound like a piano, or guitar, or a big swing band or full orchestra. I also play Lowrey organs. I’m laid back, easy going and enjoy entertaining seniors. I have been told I'm a very expressive player and can provide many references. I can play for a party of 2, or for a ballroom filled with guests. I love giving people the gift of music! 🎶🎶

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am willing to negotiate my fee depending on the client's needs. For instance if a restaurant wants me to play for a few hours I am willing to entertain different hourly rates if a tip jar is allowed. Please note -If the event is for one hour only, my fee is $100. I have also received both shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a MFA and BA. Over 30 years working as a professional musician and teacher.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started playing keyboards and organ at 9 years old.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Restaurants, senior living facilities, private parties, corporate events and retail stores.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I played on Easter 04/04/2021 at The Princess Martha in Downtown St. Petersburg. The residents loved the music, and were singing and dancing. After some numbers, they would stand at their table and clap. I have been asked to return again.
