I am a trained classical guitarist that can perform all styles of music genres. I currently reside in Beaufort SC. I'm able to played by ear or sight read music. I have a well balanced and understanding of the guitar and it's history and music Theory while continue to performed for several weddings, dignitaries, country clubs, concerts and at Jazz and classical festivals.
I enjoyed sharing music with others and teaching my students the best way how to play the guitar. What the students do not realized how important it is to learn solid techniques. I know their insight is to just to start off learning chords and riffs, however the student will become frustrated after awhile. To avoid this there are finger exercises that needs to be develop in order to play chords and riffs successfully. Starting off playing chords will do you more harm in short and long run. If a beginning student is unable to placed one finger down, trying to move two or three fingers at once could be very discouraging.
This is why I enjoy teaching so that my students will be able to play with easy and confidence and most of all with great enjoyment
