What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My minimum fee is $500.00 for a performance. Price will be higher depending on travel time and expenses as well as length of event. I charge $75.00 per half hour of overtime after 3 hours.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We can discuss your wants and needs prior to the event. I provide the PA system and lights.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 25+ years experience singing and playing guitar for live audiences. My song list is about 500 songs from most musical genres within the past 50 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started singing and playing guitar when I was 21 years old. I have mostly played in bands, but I have built up enough confidence in performing as a solo acoustic performer within the past 5 years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have played for bars, restaurants, private parties, and weddings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently played for a private party and I was asked to learn a favorite song for the married couple. It didn't take me long to learn and I wasn't especially fond of the song itself. However, I noticed the woman crying because this song meant something so much more to her. This is why I love music!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise them to take the time to research the performer they feel would be the best match for their event based on talent and song selection.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Customers should ask the performers about their musical influences and who they sound like the most. That will give them a better idea of what to expect. Also, they can request 1-2 special request songs to be played during the event. A quality musician should not have a difficult time learning a new song or two for a special event.
