Introduction

Exceeding your expectations is what it’s all about. Your event will be personalized to you and your guest’s to make it a fun, memorable experience. This is YOUR event and Party! I am frequently told, "We had so much fun, you played all the right songs." It's all about knowing who my audience is every night. It's never the same audience twice in a row. I have experience playing to the Corporate Crowd or private events like Birthday's, anniversaries, and Wedding Receptions. I frequently offer Wedding Ceremony Music as part of a package, a growing trend. It's a ton of fun getting people up, dancing and having fun. The party is all about them, so I feed off what gets my audience on the dance floor and keeps them there.

Not complicated at all.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Annual Trade Shows and Conventions. I have a Radio Broadcast Degree.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I got in, it was out of need where I was living and working at the time. I started playing in Clubs, then when THOSE patrons needed DJ music outside of the club, I was the first one they called because they wanted the same fun experience at their private parties.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Meet and listen to their needs one-on-one, discussing music content and sometimes a time line or exact music at a specific time. What THEY do, and do not want to hear.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have DJ'd or "opened" for some pretty big names through the years playing live at Concerts and have shared the stage with the likes of: The Doobie Brothers, The Commodores, Midnight Star, War, Sister Sledge, The Romantics, and have played at Disneyland, Six Flags Dallas Great America & Raging Waters San Jose California, Kings Island Cincinnati, and for Apple and IBM Computers in Silicon Valley California.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask lots of questions other than "how long have you been in the business?" Because anyone can fake that. 20 years or 2 doing anything doesn't make you better at it. Instead ask: Hey, where can we come see you playing?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How NOT to get "Up-sold" on extra lighting effects or extra "this" or "that." My philosophy has always been, make it part of the package, anyways.
