I am a singer, songwriter, and a guitar player, and I am available for gigs, festivals, and private parties. I’m was trained in voice at UCLA. The range of music I play goes from Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor to Amos Lee and the Black Crowes to Kenny Cheney and the Zac Brown Band. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am professional and on-time and courteous. My fee includes learning new songs (if necessary), travel (for 60 miles or less), set-up and tear-down. And my performance. :)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process is simple. The most important thing to me is making sure that I meet your needs and surpass your expectations. I want to make sure that I perform the music that is appropriate for your event and learn the songs you specifically want to hear. I always check to make sure that my volume is set to your liking, as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was classically trained in voice at UCLA. It was not my major; in retrospect, I wish it had been. No regrets, though!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Friends' parents started asking me to perform at parties. Who knew you could get paid doing what you love - even if it is a side gig?

What types of customers have you worked with?

I play at restaurants, bars, festivals, and private parties. I have performed for a Harely Davidson club in southern CA, and I have played while women were being proposed to (on beach at sunset, or in the hills).

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

See the review by Dustin for his proposal to his fiancee and her daughter. i had a few days to learn three new songs. It was awesome to be able to help him and to see their collective happiness!

Make sure the performers have good reviews

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Do they have positive reviews? Are they on-time? Do they have their own gear? Do they play the music YOU want to hear?
