GUITAR LESSONS
While teaching, I like to keep things light, yet educational. We start with the basics at a pace tailored for each student. I believe in positivity and encouragement are the key to letting people learn at their own speed while enjoying the process. Music should be fun!
My teaching style comes with a with a college degree, a healthy dose of experience after 22 years of playing and 16 years of teaching. I believe learning needs to be fun to get the most out of the experience when beginning or refining a hobby. All styles, ages, and walks of life are welcome.
ENTERTAINMENT SERVICES
I play 100+ shows a year around the Mid-West as a solo acoustic act, Joshua J Schmidt, and frequently play 2-4 hour sets of originals and a wide variety of unique covers. You can see and hear more about me at JoshuaJSchmidt.com or find me playing at one of many venues around town like Fulton Brewery, Mystic Lake Casino, Prestwick Golf Club, etc.
My acoustic sets are great for wedding ceremonies, private parties, and corporate events. I can also provide 2-4 band members for a bigger, flashier production that is great for a full-on wedding band and dance party.
As a leader in my band, Step Rockets, I have toured the nation and opened for the likes of Kurt Vile, Soul Asylum, Third Eye Blind, K. Flay, Bon Jovi, and Blondie to name a few. I would love to add you to the list of amazing people I have had the pleasure to work with! Please reach out for a custom quote tailored to your event.
PRODUCER
As a producer, I love to share my passion for music in the studio. As a full-time touring musician with over 10 millions of plays on Spotify with my group, Step Rockets, I have a unique and professional insight into music creation.
While in the studio I like to keep things fun yet productive. My forte is songwriting but I love playing the guitar, bass, keys, and singing. My price includes my expertise with Ableton, Logic, along with a long list of studio applicable skills.
I have a home studio as well as access to some of the best tracking locations in town. As a well-connected member of the Twin Cities music scene, I can also offer support on releasing, marketing, and generally getting your music published and heard.
I would love to chat more about your needs and how we can take your project to the next level. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
