Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is dependent on the style of magic (walk-around, close-up, or parlor), the length of the performance, and the distance to the venue.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to have a call or FaceTime chat about what I offer and they imagine would best suit their needs for the event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve been a practicing magician for nearly 20 years. I’m a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and subscribed to three monthly magazines to keep me up to date on the latest tips and tricks of the trade.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always been fascinated by magic, ever since I was a child. I spent a lot of time researching and practicing and honing my skills over the years. Any party or family gathering was an opportunity to test out new material until I was finally ready to take my act on the road.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with individuals, corporate clients, and small businesses.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently worked with General Motors for a media event unveiling some of their new EV vehicles. I did 3 hours of walk-around magic for their guests and a parlor performance at the end. I had an absolute blast meeting everyone and leaving them with little souvenirs!

How many guests are you expecting? What kind of performance are you looking for, walk-around, close-up, or parlor/stage? How long is the event? Is it inside or outside? What is the best way for everyone to have an experience with the magician?
