Unlike typical performers, Grant uses his skills as a solo "live looping" artist, composer, and arranger to build each song’s layers live on stage, offering a glimpse into the intricacy of song structure. With a repertoire of over 500 songs, every performance is uniquely crafted with the skill and precision of a seasoned musician. In 2024, Grant is set to perform over 200 shows, showcasing his talents as a one man band and singer-guitarist. Clients have included Dior, Audi North America, The New York Yacht Club, Time Out New York, and Hudson Yards, and countless lovely couples and individuals!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My standard pricing as a soloist/one-man band for most events is $225/hour. Transportation up to 1 hour from NYC, setup, and breakdown are usually included free of charge. Pricing for weddings and other formal events where extra consultation and prep is needed have a minimum base rate of $325/hour. Special song arrangements and additional musicians will be billed accordingly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Call me! I love talking on the phone with potential clients. I find that's the best and easiest way to talk through all the various things you might be envisioning for your event. No event is too large or too small for a phone call.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been singing professionally around the United States and abroad since I was 6 years old. I have a BA in Music with a focus on Theory/Composition from Fordham University. I have been playing the guitar for about 20 years, and have played various other instruments in that time as well.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I played with bands growing up but found it difficult to coordinate with multiple other musicians when it came to gigging regularly. When I started my one man band format, I quickly found a niche that worked for me and I've been busy ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

So many different types of people and settings. I've performed to thousands of spectators in amphitheaters, aboard steamboats, in living rooms, and in exclusive clubs. Some notable clients include Audi North America, The New York Yacht Club, and Time Out New York.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am currently in the process of releasing a long-awaited debut solo album of original material. It took me about 2 years to make.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Trust your gut. If you like how someone sounds, that's usually enough to hire them. If they are a professional, then they should be able to guide you through the rest. Modern amplification and musical equipment is suited to a variety of different settings, so if you give the musician details about your event and the space, then they usually have the tools to make it work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about your space and whether you have electricity available. Special song requests are something most professional musicians like to know about up front if possible, so they have ample time to prepare.
