Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I typically charge between $350-450 per engagement. Pricing varies by location of venue, date, time and number of hours. Once I know all these variable I am able to quote a price for my services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Typically a new customer will reach out to me via phone, email and/or texting. I immediately respond to the inquiry, recommending that we schedule a time to talk over the phone to determine how my services can best meet their needs. Prior to our phone conversation I always make sure that the customer has viewed by website 300+ song list, 100+ testimonials, 70+ audio samples / video and client list.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
As a youth I took 10 years of guitar lessons and have played professionally for over 30 years -- including 20 years with various private events bands and 15 plus years as an event musician

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
For 20+ years I played in a 6-piece horn all-event band. When that ran its course, I felt there was a need for instrumental acoustic guitar music for weddings, anniversaries, birthday, holidays, fundraisers and business functions in the marketplace. I started in 2004 and have been blessed to have performed at over 1500 events.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My client list is very diversified: >My corporate accounts range from Fortune 500 companies to small accounting, legal, financial services and home improvement companies. >My non-profit clients includes many of the United Way agencies. >I am on the preferred-vendor lists of most Northeast Ohio private clubs and museums. >My personal events include weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and graduations.

>Check out their website testimonials. Third-party endorsements are very important in learning about the character and values of an entertainer. >Use signed contracts that detail all the important details for your event. >Always have a personal phone conversation with the entertainer to establish a comfort level.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should have all the logistical information available such as dates, times and venue. Also, they should have a budget range in mind.
