I play classic country and classic rock. But there’s more! I take songs from various genres and turn them into folk, country and sometimes way out jazz odyssey tunes. And, I’m an Americana singer-songwriter with plenty of interesting originals. If that’s not enough, I can also play jazz piano.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Price is different depending on the ensemble size. Solo vs duo vs etc. If you want dancing, the ensemble size will need to be at least a trio (though I often have dancers even when solo). If you want me as a regular performer .. example every 2nd Thursday of each month, I offer a discounted price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I explain what type of music I play and what formats I can play in. Formats meaning what size ensembles, what instrumentations and what genres. If that sounds good to the customer, we work on a price based on the desired format. Depending on when the gig is, we can discuss any special requests. A good rule is for every month away the gig is, that about how many new songs I can learn for you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Years of guitar and piano lessons as well as vocal coaching.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I’ve always wanted to play music as far back as I can remember. About 20 years ago I decided to get out there and start doing it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Wedding receptions; wineries; breweries; coffee houses; birthday parties; Christmas parties; country clubs; funerals; bars; Oktoberfests; sporting event pre-games; TV morning shows; radio shows; substitute needs for bands.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I released my debut solo EP in October, 2018. It is old school Americana. It took about a year to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Like any business, you get what you pay for. Someone who is seasoned and plays well costs more than someone just starting out or someone who just doesn’t quite have ‘it’.
